About The HR Manual

Welcome to The HR Manual, a space where Human Resources is unpacked, explored, and made more practical for the real world. This blog is for anyone curious about how people, work, and organizations come together. Whether you’re deep in the HR world, just getting started, or simply trying to build better workplace culture, you’re in the right spot.

Why This Blog Exists

Let’s face it, HR is always evolving. Every day brings new trends, new tools, and new questions about how to manage people in ways that are thoughtful, strategic, and effective. The HR Manual is my way of keeping up with it all, sharing what I’m learning, connecting research to real experience, and figuring things out one topic at a time. I don’t claim to be an expert or a guru. I’m an HR professional who’s learning as I go, trying to grow and get better. And if you’re here for the same reason, then welcome, you’re not alone.

What You’ll Find Here

Right now, the blog focuses on:

  • Talent Planning and Acquisition (my current area of expertise)

  • Employee and Labor Relations

  • Business Management

  • Learning and Development

  • Total Rewards

As my career grows, the content will grow with it.

A Bit About Me

I’m a Sr. Technical Recruiter with a background in technology and economics, two areas that have shaped how I think about systems, strategy, and people. I’m currently pursuing my MBA and working toward my PHR certification, both of which are helping me build a stronger foundation in the HR space. Outside of work, I’m passionate about service and community, whether it’s volunteering with Meals on Wheels, supporting college access programs, or helping out at local food banks. That sense of purpose is a big part of why I care so much about the human side of work.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope The HR Manual gives you something useful, something thoughtful, or just something real.
